Uma conversa entre antigos elementos da Rebirth, organização norte-americana, foi revelada pelo portal Dust2.us, e confirmada por outros jogadores do cenário.

O portal recebeu o áudio no final do ano passado, onde é possível perceber uma conversa entre Sebastian "retchy" Tropiano, Kevin "4pack" Przypasniak, and Carson "nosraC" O’Reilly, onde planeiam influenciar o resultado do seu jogo contra os RussianCanadians e os Incognito.

Na transcrição disponibilizada pelo Dust2.us, os jogadores dão a entender que já estariam a planear há mais de 5 dias, afirmando que Alex "vek" Voynov, jogador dos RussianCanadians, já tinha aceitado fazer stream do seu radar, mas querendo uma parte dos lucros.

O jogo entre os RussianCanadians e Rebirth não chegou a realizar-se, tendo sido atribuída um vitória, por default aos Rebirth.

Já se sabe que a Esports Integrity Comission está a trabalhar em conjunto com o FBI na investigação de casos de matchfixing na América do Norte, e que os resultados da investigação serão revelados entre 10 dias e duas semanas.

nosraC: I don’t know if vek will agree to radar.

retchy: He does, he agrees to radar. On the condition that I’m letting him use two Bitcoin sites, and I’m going to share profit from those two sites. And J0LZ is okay with it too. And they’re not- I told them there’s no way you tell battery or Saturn, it needs to look like a legit tryhard game.

4pack: Alright, whatever. But I’m not setting up the Incognito game, I told you.

retchy: I know, I don’t think you should, you should join in while shrek is playing, like three rounds in.

retchy: No, the main thing is that if it shows six people on HLTV, it’ll look so good.
