Pois é, apesar da CLANBASE já estar a organizar uma Clanbase Nations Cup em Counter Strike: 1.6, decidiu também organizar uma com Counter Strike:Source.

Statement:

For the first time in the history of Counter-Strike Source we are going to have a Nations Cup. Because we find that the scene is mature and strong enough to have a Nations Cup. Yes, we do have to say that in our first plans that CSS wouldn’t get one, but after a strong debate. We have decided to have one after all!

As is our tradition we will be accepting applicants from members of the community to sign up for the function as teamcaptain of their nations team. If you are interested, make sure to read the instruction on how to proceed.

Make sure you have substantial support from your country’s top clans and top players. Mail the supervisor of your Nations Cup (use the email(s) linked below the menu on each cup page!) with the following information:

# The subject must be “NC8: [country] captain”, e.g. “NC8: Dutch captain”

# Start the email with your nickname, your clanname, your pid and your hid (the numbers on your player profile) on ClanBase.

# If you only want to be captain if there are no other candidates (to make sure your country gets to participate), say so right away.

# No individual or organisation can appoint him/her/itself, and last season’s captains have to apply again, so everyone who wants to be captain has to apply.

# The deadline for applying is on Friday 15 april, so decide fast.

The supervisors will then decide on the countries that can participate in their Nations Cup. If there was only one suitable candidate to be a country’s captain, he/she will be appointed right away. If there was no suitable candidate, the supervisors will look for someone or leave out the country.
